“How a 52-year-old Parkinson’s Disease Sufferer and Naturopath Banished all the Frustrating Symptoms of this Cruel Condition from his Body… Naturally!”
Welcome to my site revealing the amazing secrets to recovering from Parkinson's Disease naturally. I am an experienced naturopath who has put this life-changing information together to reveal the exact process that I used to beat my own advanced Parkinson Disease (stage four) and take back control of my health. I’ve included every step, resource, hint and tip that I discovered along my journey back to good health.
Were you told that, because you have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, you must reconcile yourself to a life of continuing degeneration, increasing symptoms, drug side effects, humiliation and frustration?
Whoever told you this is WRONG. And I’m living proof! I recovered from advanced Parkinson’s Disease. And so have many others.
Officially there is no “cure” for Parkinson’s disease, yet people get well. That is they no longer have symptoms, require no medication, and live full and healthy lives. This is RECOVERY. That is regaining our health and living as if we had never been sick.
I call this an adventure because it is like climbing a challenging mountain; there will be days of great triumph and others of hard work. However, once you have regained your health, you will never look at life the same way again. Everything you see, do, hear and enjoy will be so much more precious to you. You will find joy in all those places you thought were dull and boring. This is what happened to me.
We are not offering you any miracle “cures” or “snake-oil” medicines. Everything we ask you to do has been done by those who have already recovered from this disease.
The incredible information I’m about to share with you is based on:
experience – we’ll tell you everything we learnt during my recovery from advanced Parkinson’s disease;
scientific research – we’ll introduce you to cutting-edge research into cell function and cell recovery;
clinical observation – our work with those who have also recovered or are on the way to good health.

Step 1 - Understand how Parkinson’s Disease develops and why your body has chosen this expression of sickness.
The cause and development of Parkinson’s Disease is not really understood by western medicine. But here’s the simple explanation as understood by natural practitioners. When we find ourselves in a circumstance where our body (at a subconscious level) senses danger or instability, we produce large quantities of adrenal hormones. These chemicals profoundly change the distribution of fluids around the body and prepare us to fight or run away from danger (the “fight/flight response”). Action (fighting or running) resolves this response and chemical production returns to normal. Maintaining the fight/flight response can be damaging. And so your body responds by producing symptoms that have may be diagnosed as Parkinson’s disease or another, similar disorder.
John -- "I found that understanding the process helped me to choose activities and therapies more effectively.I looked for activities that would reduce stress hormones and increase production of dopamine. That’s what this program is all about.".
Step 2 - Start loving your self. Recognize your beauty, wisdom and skills, and talk to yourself about them.
Our thoughts have a profound influence on the way our brain functions, what chemicals we produce and in what quantities. Thinking well of ourselves can change our health status by enhancing production of “good” neurotransmitters and reducing production of “harmful” hormones.
Each of us has developed a sense of unimportance. We have dedicated ourselves, in some way, to people or factors outside ourselves. Perhaps this is a dedication to our family; to work or a career; to a charity or “cause”. In each case, we sublimate our physical and psychological needs to the needs of others.
John - "This was a vital part of my recovery. I began to know that I deserved to be well. Thinking loving thoughts about ourselves produces more dopamine!"
Step 3 - Take the Aqua Hydration Formulas to enhance hydration and repair of brain cells.
Water is absolutely vital for life. Maintenance of water volume, pH and electrolyte concentrations within narrow limits is essential for survival. Water continuously moves through cell membranes, from blood to lymph to plasma, and through all parts of our body, transporting nutrients and extracting wastes. About 40% of our body weight is composed of intracellular fluid (fluid inside each cell) which is mainly water. Another 20% of body weight is extracellular fluid (fluid between the cells).
The Aqua Hydration Formulas are unique remedies that can help us change the way our brains produce chemicals and move towards a “normal” production of neurotransmitters. They activate water uptake and absorption functions in our brain, so distributing water to cells that are dehydrated. This helps restore production of dopamine and other neurotransmitters. Developed for endurance athletes in Australia, they are now recognized and a pivotal remedy for those recovering from Parkinson’s disease and similar challenges.
Drinking too little water is recognized by many authorities as a most significant factor in the development of many chronic disorders. We need at least 1.5 litres of clean water each day for good health.
John -- "My discovery of these remedies, and increasing my water intake, turned my life around."
Step 4 - Begin Bowen Therapy with a qualified practitioner/therapist.
Appropriate bodywork can bring relief from pain and stiffness, increase mobility, assist balance and blood pressure control, or simply make us feel better. But which one will assist your recovery from Parkinson's Disease? There are a range of natural bodywork modalities that can assist in your recovery from Parkinson’s Disease, including Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Bowen, and Feldenkrais. But Bowen Therapy is arguably the most effective.
Bowen is an Australian developed bodywork to enhance cell hydration, mobility, peizo-electric balance and wellbeing. The originator, Thomas Bowen, treated many people challenged with chronic degenerative disorders. It has played a significant role in the recovery and/or improvement in health for thousands of people in over 20 countries.
John -- "This is the only form of bodywork that can truly assist the hydration of cell membranes. I gained great physical and physiological benefit from Bowen Therapy."

Step 5 - Look for laughter. Find ways to laugh or pretend to laugh.
We all know that laughing makes us feel good. We enjoy chuckling, giggling, laughing out loud, a good belly laugh. But we don’t always realise why we feel good.
Scientists studying the physiology of laughter have found that many of the chemical changes that happen during laughter are the same as those that occur during exercise. Endorphins (our natural painkillers) and many neurotransmitters are boosted during laughter, while stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline are suppressed.
Laughter helps to rebalance neurotransmitter production and increases dopamine production so it’s very helpful in combating Parkinson’s Disease. We can be our own clown-doctors to help our return to good health.
John -- "We know that laughter produces dopamine and other healing chemicals in our brain. I learned to laugh again by practicing every day, and enhanced my healing."
Step 6 - Revise your diet. Eat only best-quality, health-giving foods.
Recovering from any disease means improving the health of your whole person. I have not yet found a single dietary regime that has led to complete recovery from Parkinson’s disease. But eating healthy food is one of the most practical and best ways to start the process of getting well. Conversely, if you eat food with no nutritional value, your body will lack the resources for recovery.
So-called “primitive people”, before crowded village/city life became the norm, often lived 80+ years with no degenerative disease. We can learn from them and provide all the nutrition our body craves.
In this step, it is necessary to eliminate "foods that harm us" and consume the "foods that can heal us" if we want to be on the road to recovery. Harmful foods, additives, preservatives, flavour enhancers etc are riddled through our supermarket items. These chemicals are highly neurotoxic (i.e. they damage or kill nerve cells).
We need lots of vegetables, fruit, eggs, fish, nuts, seeds and herbs, plus some very lean meat, legumes, quinoa and buckwheat. We should consume very little “old” grains like rye, barley, millet, spelt, kamut and oats, but NO wheat or dairy foods.
John -- "Giving our body the best possible fuel enhances its ability to repair damage. I know this from experience. If I eat well, I am well."
Step 7 - Meditate daily.
People with Parkinson’s Disease share two very basic emotions – fear and frustration. We are frustrated that we can no longer do all the things we used to do, or do them as well as we used to, and we are afraid that we will continue to get worse and be able to do less and less.
Many conservative therapists will either ignore the emotional state of their patient, concentrating solely on the physical, or prescribe anti-depressants. The former exacerbates our frustration because we really do want to talk about it and find strategies to overcome it. The latter merely covers up an emotional situation that can be used to bring about a healthy life change. We can change the way we think and our emotions through meditation.
Who said meditation was difficult? We have all meditated at some time in our life, even if we called it something else. Here are ways to meditate without stress, and the reasons this can change our health for the better. An easy way to start is to sit quietly and fill your mind with a beautiful, peaceful, happy memory for 5 to 10 minutes every day.
John -- "Meditation is another way to produce more dopamine and other healing neurotransmitters. It’s easy and costs nothing. Daily meditation helped keep me going forwards on my recovery pathway."
Step 8 - Start a weekly Journal.
This is a simple, easy and powerful way to keep track of your progress. Often, our symptoms change very slowly and we may not notice. If we don’t notice we are moving towards wellness, we may become discouraged. But, if we keep a weekly journal, and are honest about our symptoms, feelings, and what has happened during the week, over time we will see a pattern emerging showing just how well we are progressing.
John -- "My Journal was sometimes the only reason I kept trying. It showed me that I WAS moving forward, even when I thought I was getting worse. It is a vital tool."
Step 9 - Learn to communicate better with your doctor and other health practitioners, and/or find a new practitioner. Understand medication: how to use it; how to minimize your need for it.
Your chosen health practitioners can be of enormous support in your journey to wellness. They may also be enormous obstacles to be overcome. By choosing the right practitioners, and learning to communicate in the best way, you can create a team of helpers who will be partners on your great adventure.
We no longer need to be “victims of the system”. We always have choices about who will help us take care of our health, what medicines and remedies we take and who we invite to join us on this great adventure. Learn the difference between “experts” and good doctors/naturopaths and how to choose. Learn about controlling your medication/remedy doses to gain greater benefit.
You need to look at your relationships with practitioners such as General Practitioners, Integrative Medical Practitioners/Holistic Doctors, Neurologists, Naturopaths, Homeopaths, Herbalists etc and importantly, how to make the most out of each of your consultations. To gain the best value from any visit to any practitioner, we need to write down all the things we want to tell them, and all the questions we want to ask, then insist that they listen and give us answers. It is often helpful to take a friend, family member or carer with you for support.
John -- "Our relationship with our health practitioners is as important as the therapies they offer. Some practitioners I visited were “experts” but treated me badly; others became my “companions”. Some Parkinson’s medication can be very helpful if used cautiously; but used unwisely, it can be very damaging and inhibit our ability to be well."
Step 10 - Exercise at home daily. Find exercise classes or teachers to help you.
Use it or lose it! This is true even if you feel lethargic, too busy or slowed down by your symptoms. Exercise and core strength strategies will keep your body in the best possible shape while you get well.
John -- "We must exercise to keep our muscles aware of their real job. Often, the only way I could continue to look after myself was to exercise the muscles needed to do that. Keep moving, it will help you get better."

Step 11 - Remove all toxic substances from your environment.
Those of us who develop Parkinson’s Disease symptoms are at least 100 times more sensitive to synthetic chemicals, medications and remedies than more robust people. Have a look around your house and find what may be inhibiting your health. Research those people who have made significant improvements to their health by cleaning up their own environment.
There are over 150,000 neurotoxic chemicals in our normal environment, and we are unaware of most of them. Many are contained in commonly used products like cleaners, insect sprays, shampoos, deodorants, toothpastes and hair colour. Fortunately, there are now many non-toxic products available at your local health food store and, sometimes, at the supermarket.
John -- "It took me a long time to realise that even something as simple as putting petrol in my car could exacerbate my symptoms. Contact with chemicals at my work made me feel even more ill."
Step 12 - Renew, repair or revive your relationships – friends, family and lovers.
Our relationships affect our lives on many levels, and can have a profound effect on our health. Look at what your relationships are doing for you and how you can make your life more beautiful by improving them.
John -- "When we enjoy close, loving relationships, and remove ourselves from manipulative or damaging relationships, our body produces more healing chemicals such as dopamine, anandamide and serotonin. I needed to remove myself from the company of certain people, and renew some old friendships to enhance my health."
